Sturrock Dry Dock: soil-resistivity test record

Mshezi Projects completed soil-resistivity testing for the Sturrock Drydock Electrical project. The retained test sheet identifies an ETCR 3000B instrument and records 23 readings.

Electrode spacing recorded
1 m
Electrode depth recorded
150 mm
Temperature recorded
29 °C
Reported effective soil resistivity
555.19 Ω·m

What the record demonstrates

A documented field-testing assignment with instrument identification, test geometry and recorded results. The reported value is reproduced from the historical sheet; it is not a new design recommendation or an installed earth-resistance acceptance result.

Using the information

Any new design assessment must review the original readings, measurement geometry and site conditions. This single-spacing sheet does not establish a multi-layer soil model.

Electrification · DRC

Fungurume Electrification Project

Werkman DRC, the appointed main contractor, awarded the specialist soil-resistivity testing subcontract to Mshezi Projects. The project scope covered a major HV/MV/LV electrification programme in the DRC, including substations, 11 kV feeders and kiosk substations. Mshezi’s role was the testing work package, not the overall project design or construction.

Appointment and delivery boundary

The assignment was a specialist testing subcontract. Overall electrification design, construction and project delivery are outside the scope described here.
